Raymond James appoints Senior Vice President, Private Wealth

Kevin Ruth to lead firm initiatives supporting advisors and their clients with significant wealth

 

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James announced the appointment of Kevin Ruth as senior vice president (SVP) of Private Wealth to lead the firm’s commitment to providing advanced, custom wealth management strategies for advisors serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. He joins the firm at its St. Petersburg, Florida headquarters today.

With over 25 years in the industry, Ruth brings extensive experience from leading the development and implementation of private wealth programs at Merrill Lynch, UBS and Fidelity. Most recently, he served as head of wealth planning and personal trust at Fidelity Investments.

In his new role reporting to Private Client Group COO, Kim Jenson, Ruth will lead initiatives to build on and enhance the delivery of the robust private wealth solutions available to Raymond James advisors and their high-net-worth clients. The firm’s private wealth management solutions offer advisors advanced resources in estate and charitable planning, intergenerational wealth strategies, custom investment management solutions, cash management and lending, and risk mitigation strategies.

In addition to his professional experience, Ruth holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Science in financial services from The American College. He has served in the U.S. Army, and is currently chair of the CFP® Board's Standards Resource Commission. Ruth is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional, Chartered Life Underwriter, Certified Financial Consultant, Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy and Accredited Estate Planner.

 

Ruth is a highly regarded expert in the industry and is committed to providing thought leadership on topics ranging from comprehensive wealth management to financial literacy. To that end, Ruth has developed the application Give-Get® to provide financial education to high school students in under-served communities. As he joins the firm, Raymond James will be leveraging his educational program in alignment with its corporate responsibility objectives.
