Raymond James expands capital structure advisory team, hires Tim Bottrell
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James is expanding the capabilities of its Investment Banking division by hiring Tim Bottrell as a managing director in the Capital Structure Advisory group. Based in New York, he will enhance the firm's coverage of alternative capital sponsors, including private credit managers, multi-strat funds, CLOs and other alternative asset managers.
Bottrell brings extensive experience across leveraged finance, structured equity and alternative sponsor coverage. He joins from Stifel, where he focused on alternative sponsors coverage. Prior to Stifel, he worked at Cantor Fitzgerald as co-head of capital solutions and alternative capital sponsors coverage, building the firm's alternative capital solutions effort. Earlier in his career, Bottrell was with Goldman Sachs' global markets division, where he led multi-asset originations spanning public and private investments, lending and co-investment opportunities across investment banking, merchant banking, private wealth management and global markets. He holds a Bachelor of Science in economics from Rutgers University.
“Tim’s deep expertise in capital solutions and alternative capital sponsor coverage will bring valuable perspective to our clients and further strengthen our connectivity across the capital structure,” said Geoffrey Richards, co-head of Capital Structure Advisory at Raymond James. “As private credit continues to reshape the financing landscape and clients increasingly seek tailored, creative capital solutions, Tim’s experience will enhance our ability to help them navigate a broader and more complex range of financing opportunities.”
“Adding Tim is an important step in expanding how we serve clients as alternative capital becomes an increasingly significant financing source,” said Alexander Rohan, co-head of Capital Structure Advisory at Raymond James. “His relationships across this market will help deepen the connectivity between alternative capital providers and our broader Investment Banking platform, creating more opportunities to deliver differentiated ideas and flexible solutions for clients.”
