Raymond James welcomes advisor team managing over $180 million in assets in Oregon
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James welcomed financial advisors Don Prescott, Tennelle Nickel and Marc Cooper to Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. (RJFS) – the firm’s independent advisor channel – in Medford, Oregon according to Bill Counsman, Western division director for RJFS.
The advisors join the team at SilverTree Wealth Partners from Edward Jones where they previously managed approximately $180 million in client assets. Together they serve a variety of clients including business owners, corporate executives, healthcare professionals, retirees and families.
“I’m really excited to offer the clients I serve a broader array of investments and to bring a team approach to serving the families of Southern Oregon. As part of this talented group at Raymond James, we now have the tools and people in place to help multiple generations of families, regardless of where they are located,” said Prescott.
Prescott has over 19 years of industry experience gained at his previous firm. Passionate about continuing education, he holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ as well as the Accredited Asset Management SpecialistSM professional designations. Prescott earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Oral Roberts University.
“Everyone is different. I care about getting to know my clients and prioritizing what’s important to them," said Nickel. "Raymond James shares those client-centric values and ensures we’re well-equipped to help with whatever their goals may be. Whether that’s planning for retirement, saving for a child's education or preparing for the unexpected.”

She transitioned to Raymond James to partner with her brother, Don, and the professionals at SilverTree Wealth Partners. Nickel holds a Bachelor of Science from Oral Roberts University.
“The investment in technology is evident with Raymond James. I’m eager to incorporate the firm’s analytical tools, investment research and retirement planning software to better serve our clients,” said Cooper. “Also, the freedom to operate within our team framework gives us the ability to specialize in specific areas for a more efficient and effective practice.”
Cooper has been serving clients as a financial advisor since 2017. Previously, he held several leadership roles with Edward Jones, including field trainer, mentor and level leader. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Northern Arizona University’s WA Franke College of Business.
